Gokarn Mahadev
Fifteen kilometers from Kathmandu is a small village with nevarskaya Gokarn Mahadev temple complex. In the vicinity of the village - for the royal hunting reserve, and the favorite place of the previous King Mahendra. A small temple of Lord Shiva surrounded by several small temples and numerous sculptures and bas-reliefs of various gods and their incarnations. Near the river flows, along which - two pedestal pyre. Among the sculptures are playing children. We wandered along the entire complex, peering through the windows in the temple. Nobody in the village did not pay us absolutely no attention. Around the temple stood - a bearded Brahma, Shiva, Parvati, Buddha, and beasts, and tridents and Lingam, and of course the trio Ganesh, Hanuman and Narasingha.Otdelno stands a small temple, guarding the mark of Vishnu. From the village we decided to walk several kilometers to the Buddhist monastery of Copan. We walked along the side road past the royal park and turned into the village. The village was welcoming, well, more like plots. When we went a greater distance than expected, we asked passers-by, where - the monastery. We undertook to hold a young guy. We have been making their way along the narrow paths between rice fields, risking to lose balance and fall into the bubbling muck. After no less than three miles, we finally saw the monastery. This was, unfortunately, not the monastery, which we are looking for. We talked with the talkative young nun, not bad comprehending in English. On top of the hill, there were still several large Buddhist monasteries, and we still had to walk about a kilometer up. It was beginning to get dark. Assessing what we can for the night did not get back, we went back to the Buddhist complex Bodhnat, where we then stayed in a hotel. Back we turned not in vain - the road because of the mud was impassable, and we could well get stuck in some huge puddle. In the distance shone in the rays of the red setting sun and roof mortar Bodhnat numerous monasteries.
