My options were "in an office" that meant: they yet have not expired, but became almost useless.Then the share market has failed, and Alan Grinspen, trying to extinguish a panic, declared that the Federal reserve system will lower rates. On Tuesday morning my eurodollar options have passed from a simple paper in firm money. I could transform them almost into one million dollars if did not fly in the plane at height of 50 000 foots.
On the Concorde there were no phones and when I have reached New York, the market of eurodollars has not opened yet. I had to wait, while I will appear in the plane from New York in Chicago to reserve a phone conversation with my broker. But for not clear reasons phone in the plane could not consider my credit card. Here now I have begun to panic. Nobody knew about these options, and I have got stuck in the plane on which phone does not work. I have approached to the stewardess with hundred dollar denomination and have asked: "you have card VISA or American Express?" She has looked at me a little puzzly.

I could sell mine 94 options, and make 500 000 dollars, or sell 1 000 eurodollar futures, to be in a short position on 94,50, and to remain in long on options with a strike 94 that would guarantee 50-fold profit. Three days after eurodollars have fallen to 92, and I would be in a short position with 94,50. Finally, by my calculations,
