One of them has rushed on me. I have had time to be protected by a hand, and its claws were literally stuck into a leather sleeve of a camisole. I have snatched out the sword and have risen to the feet.Birds turned round me with obvious intention to attack. I still never saw such behaviour at birds.
Eyes sparkled red fire, beaks let out hoarse aggressive cries. Again one has directed on me. I have struck, but it with ease has evaded. Another already prepared for attack. For the first time I was disturbed. My protection long will not resist. I do not have possibility to avoid their beaks and claws if they continue to attack. If I am final I will not find shelter. I have quickly looked round around, looking around for the hung stone where I could hide.
These two winged furies have tired out me under a stone. Though the flight has departed for a long time already, these two have possibly decided to finish the business.
The hung stone protected my head and shoulders, and to it now to attack me, it was necessary to fly low, and I could meet any such attack by the calculated blow of a steel. So, I waited. However it has appeared that these creatures possess reason and do not wish to attack me in that situation when I have an advantage. Instead of an attack they too began to wait.
My anger grew. These two birds have dared to attack the person, to threaten it! I was disturbed by that their incessant shouts could result here all flight. If it seemed to me improbable earlier that birds can attack - and to win - the armed person now my opinion has changed. It they can, if the person is on open space where birds will have maneuver freedom.
I began to consider the following step. At me behind shoulders was it, but its arrows did not suit hunting for birds, and I have not been assured that I can use it, as the effective weapon. But as to me to get out from here if they, apparently, are not going to to depart. There should be they have decided to guard me here and to wait reinforcements.
They turned and turned over my refuge, and suddenly both of them have soared up in the sky and with any plaintive shout absolutely unlike their fighting shouts, have disappeared. It has occurred so suddenly that I was frightened. I have not understood that has banished them from here.
