The Droid icons are smooth, simple to identitfy and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a comparatively nice presentation that allows for ease in comprehensionIt used to be, you had 3 to five icons on your cell phone to tell you everything that's taking place with your cellular world. Nowadays there is amplitude of icons, and at the forefront are the iPhone and the Verizon Droid. Now you can see not only voicemail as an icon, but if you missed a call, if there is a call on hold, new voicemail or new email message. You will know if there's an issue with your SMS or MMS delivery, if there is new instant message, if info is syncing or if a song is playing on your phone. The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology. If the ringer is off in silent mode or if the speakerphone is on - there is a separate icon for it. You can tell if there is a call on hold, if the call is forwarded or if there us a calling progress. It will also tell you if GPS is enabled and if it is working. The Droid icons are smooth, straightforward to identify and tend to convey what they mean in a comparatively nice presentation that allows for ease in understanding. The Droid wants this level of icons as it does so much. It even has an airplane mode where wireless services are automatically set to off. All of these icons are show in the standing bar on the apex of the Droid. Naturally, you get the usual icons, but there are icons for outstanding Notifications and Messages. This indicates that all of the calls, SMS messages and new emails are all shown in this section. They're going to be there until you look after them. This is superb for when you are away from your mobile phone. The Droid doesn't give audio reminders, but it is doing give you lots of icons and a green blinking light that will turn on the standing bar so that you can look after any pending actions that are shown by the varied icon notices. All that you need to do then is activate your Droid and touch the specific icon that corresponds to an action. You can then deal with it. For as cool as the Droid is, sometimes it has to be rebooted. You can spot when this is happening when the translucent wheel icon starts spinning non stop. You will need to use the Advance Task Killer if you have it, and can use it. There are different types icons for varied services and apps. Everything from apps to actions to take, Droid icons are easily read and pretty clear cut. ![]()
