The Droid icons are smooth, simple to identitfy and tend to convey what they mean in a relatively nice show that allows for ease in understandingIt used to be, you had three to 5 icons on your cell phone to tell you everything that's taking place with your cellular world. Today there is amplitude of icons, and at the forefront are the iPhone and the Verizon Droid. Now you can see not only voicemail as an icon, but if you missed a call, if there's a call on hold, new voicemail or new email message. You will know if there's an issue with your SMS or MMS delivery, if there is new instant message, if information is syncing or if a song is playing on your telephone. The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology. If the ringer is off in silent mode or if the speakerphone is on - there is a separate icon for it. You can tell if there is a call on hold, if the call is forwarded or if there us a calling progress. It will also tell you if GPS is enabled and if it is working. The Droid icons are smooth, simple to identify and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a relatively nice display that allows for ease in understanding. The Droid wants this level of icons because it does so much. It's got a plane mode where wireless services are automatically set to off. All of these icons are show in the standing bar on the apex of the Droid. Naturally, you get the common icons, but there are also icons for outstanding Notifications and Messages. This indicates that all of the calls, texts and new mails are all shown in this section. They'll be there till you take care of them. This is superb for when you're away from your cell-phone. The Droid doesn't give audio reminders, but it is doing give you lots of icons and a green blinking light that may activate the status bar so that you can look after any pending actions that are shown by the various icon notices. All you need to do then is turn on your Droid and touch the explicit icon that fits with an action. You can then deal with it. For as cool as the Droid is, occasionally it must be rebooted. You can tell when this is happening when the see though wheel icon starts spinning non-stop. You will need to use the Advance Task Killer if you have it, and can use it. There are different types icons for varied services and apps. Everything from apps to actions to take, Droid icons are easy to read and pretty clear cut. ![]()
