Droid : Icons Have Come a Long Way
The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology. The Droid icons are smooth, straightforward to identitfy and tend to convey what they mean in a comparatively nice show that allows for ease in comprehensionIt used to be, you had 3 to 5 icons on your mobile telephone to tell you everything that is occuring with your cellular world. Today there is amplitude of icons, and at the forefront are the iPhone and the Verizon Droid.
Now you can see not only voicemail as an icon, but if you missed a call, if there's a call on hold, new voicemail or new e-mail message. You may know if there's a problem with your SMS or MMS delivery, if there is new instant message, if info is syncing or if a song is playing on your telephone. The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology.
If the ringer is off in silent mode or if the speakerphone is on - there is a separate icon for it. You can tell if there is a call on hold, if the call is forwarded or if there us a calling progress. It will also tell you if GPS is enabled and if it is working.
The Droid icons are smooth, simple to identify and tend to convey what they mean in a comparatively nice presentation that allows for ease in understanding. The Droid desires this level of icons as it does so much. It has got an airplane mode where wireless services are instantly set to off.
All these icons are show in the standing bar on the apex of the Droid. Naturally, you get the common icons, but there are also icons for pending Notifications and Messages. This suggests that all of the calls, SMS messages and new mails are all shown in this section. They will be there till you look after them. This is great for when you are away from your mobile phone.
The Droid doesn't give audio reminders, but it does give you plenty of icons and a green blinking light that will turn on the standing bar so that you can take care of any outstanding actions that are shown by the varied icon notices. All that you need to do then is activate your Droid and touch the explicit icon that fits with an action. You can then fix it.
For as cool as the Droid is, often it must be rebooted. You can say when this is happening when the see-through wheel icon starts spinning nonstop. You will need to use the Advance Task Killer if you have it, and can use it. There are different types icons for varied services and apps. Everything from apps to actions to take, Droid icons are easy-to-read and pretty clear cut.
