The Droid icons are smooth, easy to identitfy and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a relatively nice presentation that allows for ease in understandingIt used to be, you had three to 5 icons on your mobile phone to tell you everything that's happening with your cellular world. Nowadays there is plenitude of icons, and at the forefront are the iPhone and the Verizon Droid. Now you can see not only voicemail as an icon, but if you missed a call, if there's a call on hold, new voicemail or new e-mail message. You'll know if there's a problem with your SMS or MMS delivery, if there is new instant message, if info is syncing or if a song is playing on your phone. The Droid and the icons it has onboard reflect the new smartphone technology. If the ringer is off in silent mode or if the speakerphone is on - there is a separate icon for it. You can tell if there is a call on hold, if the call is forwarded or if there us a calling progress. It will also tell you if GPS is enabled and if it is working. The Droid icons are smooth, easy to identify and have a tendency to convey what they mean in a comparatively nice show that allows for ease in understanding. The Droid wants this level of icons because it does so much. It's got a plane mode where wireless services are instantly set to off. All of these icons are show in the status bar on the pinnacle of the Droid. Naturally, you get the common icons, but there are also icons for pending Notifications and Messages. This means that all of the calls, text messages and new mails are all shown in this section. They'll be there till you take care of them. This is excellent for when you are away from your cell-phone. The Droid doesn't give audio reminders, but it does give you lots of icons and a green blinking light that will turn on the status bar so that you can look after any pending actions that are shown by the various icon notices. All that you need to do then is activate your Droid and touch the express icon that measures up to an action. You can then sort it. For as cool as the Droid is, occasionally it must be rebooted. You can tell when this is happening when the see-through wheel icon starts spinning nonstop. You will need to use the Advance Task Killer if you have it, and can use it. There are various types icons for various services and apps. Everything from apps to actions to take, Droid icons are easy-to-read and pretty clear cut. ![]()
