The false certificate has led to that Cruise recognised as guilty and have sentenced to death for murder though the sentence has been sent on the appeal. As the newspaper "Chicago Tribune" informed, on the third court over Cruise the key witness of charge has changed the indications, and action of proceeding against Cruise have stopped. But by then Cruise has already spent 10 years in a condemned cell.
Attempts of the public prosecutor to incline my father to the transaction have opened to me eyes how this world actually works. I challenged sights of the father considering that a pack automatically start to garble against any person with the Italian surname. I was the student of college and the sportsman, there were the American, as well as other teenagers. We with the brother - children from the suburb, never having troubles with police, did not consist in gangs and did not accept drugs. But after this fight I have understood, about what the father constantly spoke to me. Rules are unequally applied in relation to everyone. Irrespective of opinion of each of us concerning this court, the fact remains, that many Afro-Americans know since the childhood or by experience of close friends about the prejudiced relation of police. Therefore on our court it was easy to juryman to understand that the officers making investigation, have fabricated business against us. In my own life I saw too many precedents prejudiced it fault instead of a presumption of the innocence guaranteed by the Constitution. And as it is frequent an ethnic accessory — the unique reason on which the person suspect guilty of commission of crime.
