This time, however, it has applied other, smartly changed, the program.The crystal has absolutely left some pithecanthropi alone - it has as though concentrated all attention to those who submitted the greatest hopes. To their number belonged and Looking at the Moon: he has again felt, as if any inquisitive feelers rummage on distant back streets of its brain. Then visions have begun.
Probably, these visions were to it in a crystal monolith, and can be, they were born in its brain. Anyhow for Looking at the Moon all these images were quite real. Only for some reason a habitual intuitive impulse - to expel strangers from the possession - it has appeared absolutely lulled.
So proceeded minutes five, and then vision has disappeared, only flickering contours of a crystal were shone in the dark. Looking at the Moon it was stirred up, as if having cleared up from a dream, has suddenly thought, where it is, and has led the flight to caves.

What significance one hundred failures if the one and only success is capable to change destiny of all planet could have! To a following new moon in flight two were lost and one cub was born. One death was usual - for hunger, other has happened during evening ritual at a monolith - one pithecanthropus, trying to knock quietly one fragment of a stone about other, has suddenly fallen it. The crystal has in a moment gone out, and the charms arresting to it flight, have disappeared. But the fallen pithecanthropus has not regained consciousness, and next morning from its body, of course, remains nothing.
